Well we finally have some spring weather here in Kentucky! Holy Moly!!! This momma couldn't be more excited. On Friday we went to the park with Holly and the kids. Madelyn loved spending some time with Holly's son, Jackson. We loaded up both vans of kids and snacks and headed out. As soon as we got to the park.... there were clouds. GREAT! But, we were able to get some playing time in before we started to feel drops. Madelyn loved pushing Reagan in the swing.... well for a little bit anyway. Reagan loved the swing. She was too cute!
On Sunday it was beautiful. Ryan went to play golf. I know.... shocking right? haha! It has been forever since he has been able to play golf in nice weather. Yes he did play while his parents were here, but it was COLD that day. The girls and I decided to go to the zoo. We have the membership, why not. Madelyn loved it. Reagan... she just wanted food. All the animals were I guess tired from the day because they were either up or sleeping. We went to see what the polar exhibit was going to look like. It is not offically open yet, but there he was.... The POLAR BEAR! Madelyn was sooo excited. That made her day! As we were there, he was doing what is now called the Polar Bear Dance. He would walk up to the end of his rock area, and then back up. While walking back and forth, he would shake his head side to side. Madelyn loved his dance. Then we saw.... there was the seal and sea lion exhibit right under him. I don't know if he could see them or just smell them, but it was like he knew they were there. He did it the whole time we were there. Madelyn just had to have me record it on my phone. We can't wait for it to open all the way. Then we were heading out and we had to stop and see the giraffes. They had a baby in the fall and she wanted to see him. Mom or Dad didn't like the son getting all the attention so they took matters into their own hands. He or she came over to the bars and stuck their head over the side.... and began to drool over the side. Madelyn said... oops it almost hit Reagan in the head. She said leave her close to see if it will hit her. Thanks Madelyn, I feel that sister love!!! WE had a great time.
After the zoo we hit a great resturant that I heard about from a friend from school. It is called Jailhouse Pizza. We went there and met Ryan for dinner. Madelyn thought it was cool. We were on the regular side, but you could walk around the old jail cells. We looked at the smaller side which they said was the womens side. After dinner we went upstairs to the mens. She was ok until we came across the trap door which is now glass covered. Madelyn said she didn't like that and it was creepy upstairs. I don't know how they both made it home without falling alseep, but they did. But as soon as the jammies came on, they were out.
IT WAS A GREAT DAY!!!!
